The pretty and vivacious Grace Christiansen has vowed to "go it
alone." She does not need a man. She can take out her garbage,
change the oil in her car, and fix a drippy faucet. Seeking solace
from the ever-present memory of the former lover who systematically
stripped her of her self worth, she books passage on a windjammer
in the West Indies.
The handsome and audacious Mack MacCormack, an American physician who fled to the islands after his wife's death, cannot resist the urgings of his body--and his heart--when he meets the silver haired beauty. Believing he's ready to love again, and determined to win Grace's trust, Mack openly courts her in an off-handed and sometimes brazen manner that, surprisingly, she finds hard to resist. Grace's vacation is ill-fated, however. Befallen by a series of near-fatal accidents, she is drawn into a world of voodoo and ritualism--someone is trying to destroy Mack by killing her! Vowing to never run from trouble again, Grace teams up with Mack to lure the stalker into the open. In the process, they overcome an insidious evil, exorcise their own demons, and discover that love is, indeed, the greatest force on earth. | |||||||
